The Amphenol 72 Series USB Field TV is a robust USB connection system designed for harsh environments. It allows standard USB 2.0 cordsets to be inserted into a metallic plug, providing protection against shocks, dust, and fluids. This system eliminates hazardous on-field cabling and grounding. The metallic plug connects to a receptacle using a Tri-Start Thread coupling mechanism (MIL-DTL-38999 series III type) with an anti-decoupling device for high vibration resistance. Key features include sealing against fluids and dusts (IP68), shock and vibration resistance, improved EMI protection, and user-selectable mechanical coding/polarization. Applications include embedded computers, data acquisition in harsh environments, railways, battlefield communication systems, and navy systems.
