Tyco Electronics MULTIGIG RT product is a backplane interconnect family offering flexibility and customization. This printed circuit-based, pinless interconnect family is comprised of modular components that can be used in a variety of combinations. It provides 10 Gbps performance with differential, single-ended, and power capabilities. Key features include a customizable impedance-matched printed circuit wafer interface, a backplane connector system with a pinless interface, superior crosstalk performance, and optimized footprints for signal integrity and ease of board design. It utilizes a 0.56 [0.022] diameter via for the backplane connector for lower cost board fabrication and offers three levels of signal contact sequencing. The modular connector system is available for 20.30 [0.800] or 25.40 [1.00] card pitch systems and includes power modules, guidance modules, and planned cable assemblies.
