The Deutsch DT Series connectors are environmentally-sealed, general-purpose connectors designed specifically for cable-to-cable applications in harsh environments such as on the engine, transmission, under the hood, on the chassis, or in the cab. They offer high reliability and performance at a low cost, making them ideal for signal-level circuits where connection degradation can be critical. The series utilizes thermoplastic housings and silicone seals to withstand extreme temperatures and moisture. Contacts are available in either solid-copper crimp type or stamped and formed types, with spring action designed into the socket and shrouded by a stainless steel hood for positive axial alignment and protection against probe damage. Secondary locks ensure positive retention, with a fail-safe mechanism to ensure proper seating during mating.
